He was predeceased by: his parents, Rocco Nicholas and Lucile De Nicholas. He is survived by: his wife Dolores De Nicholas; his daughters, Marie Krown and Lisa Newsome; his grandchildren, Nick Shaw, Michael Shaw, Brianna Newsome, Daniel Newsome III and Kiersten Newsome; his great grandchildren, Riley Shaw, Reese Shaw, Roman Shaw and Atlas Newsome; and his sister Elaine Sperry.
