He was predeceased by: his former wife Phylis Pelkey; his brother Jack Nash (Barbara Nash); Lynn. He is survived by: his son John Smith (Liz); his wife Jean Brough; his daughter Barbara Nash; his grandchildren, Laura, Jeremy Smith (Joelle) and Zach Smith (Amy); his great grandchildren, Eliana, Dylan, Maxwell and Otto; and his stepchildren, Randy Benson (Kitty), Marty Benson (Roxi) and SueAnne Starr.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
