He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruel William Wortman and Elva Pearl Wortman (Bird); and his wife Jeraldine Wortman. He is survived by : his children, Jeraldine (Bill), Regina, Rodger (Kandi) and Elissa (James); his grandchildren, Matt, Tammy, Jamie, Lauren, Ashley, Rodger Joseph, Nicolas, Marissa, Karlee, William, Branden and Riana; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Joseph, Michael, Gunner, Jackson, Charlotte, Jayce and Emilio; and his caregiver Julie.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
