He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominic Lavato and Louise Lavato; his former wife Kathleen Lavato; and his siblings, Richard Lavato and Joann Lavato.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Kisela; his children, Nora Swanson (Jason Swanson), Michael Lavato and Joseph Lavato (Danielle Sullivan); his grandchildren, Miles Swanson, William Lavato and Maeve Lavato; and his brother Robert Lavato (Mary Lavato). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Bill asked that donations be made to Sunshine Village, a western Massachusetts organization supporting individuals with Down syndrome.
