He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brantley Dobson and Gladys Corinne Ginn Dobson; and his siblings, Myrtis (Preston), JB (Bunny), Ed, Virgie (Richard) and Thelma (Regie).
He is survived by: his wife Annelle J. Dobson; his sons, Brant Dobson (Lyndsey), English Crosby (Becki) and Bryan Crosby (Robin); his grandchildren, Taylor (Kayla), Casyn (Belle), Ryland (Kaitlyn), Cigi (Tucker), Campbell (Shelby), Bailey (Tyler), Sydney, Kenleigh (Mason), Caden (Elise) and Nick; his siblings, Robert (Roma) and Ellen (Jimmie); his close friend Marvin Murdaugh; and his caregiver Lurane Yates. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Ehrhardt-Bamberg Chapel (2515 Low Country Hwy, Ehrhardt, SC 29081). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Ashton Baptist Church (5153 Willow Swamp Rd, Lodge, SC 29082).
