He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Chestnut and Alberta Vereen Chestnut; his wife Jacqueline Conyers-Chestnut; his siblings, Andrew Chestnut, Floyd Chestnut and Gertha Stanley; his children, Betty Sue "Pound" Cox-Smith, Ronald Conyers Herring, Roddie Cox (Lynn) of Columbia, SC, Keshia Conyers-Herring of Freeport, NY, Pierre Chestnut (Daisy) of Longs, SC and Marquis Chestnut (Shonta Pettaway) of Hempstead, NY; his grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Trey Cox, Pierre Chestnut, Jr., Mia Chestnut and Quincey Terrell Chestnut; his great grandchild Jamari Smith; his siblings, Marion Chestnut (Veronica) of Longs, SC, Lloyd Chestnut (Cynthia) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sandra Jones (Larry) of Conway, SC, Sharon Scott (Ray) of Longs, SC and Evon Hemingway of Longs, SC; his sisters-in-law, Wanda Chestnut of Longs, SC and Elsye Conyers Brown of Hempstead, NY; and his close friends, Chivas Wilson, Curven Chestnut, Ricky Dewitt and George Willard. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
