He was predeceased by: his son Clifton N. Confer, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Confer (Mero); his daughter Erin Mazzulla; and his son-in-law Boyd.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach, 200 Hwy 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
