He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Tate and Mary Rich Tate; his wife Doris "Jo" Tate; and his son David Tate. He is survived by: his children, Becky Helms (Nolan) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mike Felts (Annette) of Spartanburg, SC and Robert Tate (Robbie) of Boiling Springs, SC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
