He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Charles Burris and Russell Smith. He is survived by: his parents, Russ Smith and Susan Smith; his brother Ryan; his sister-in-law Courtney Smith; his grandmothers, Elinor Smith and Mazie Burris; his nephews, Cooper and Logan Smith; and his pet Chappy. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Living Water Baptist Church's building or missions fund, in honor of James "Alix" Smith's legacy of service and love.
