She was predeceased by: her parents, Columbus Oree Hardee and Retha Mae Jacobs Hardee; and her husband William Gerald Brooks. She is survived by: her children, Barry Brooks (Dawn) and Kelly Strickland (Jay); her grandchildren, Reese Brooks (Kate), Ashton Alford (Justin), William Brooks (Anna), Jayson Strickland (Grayson), Jason Brooks (Jarrett) and Jordan Cuba (P. J.); her great grandchildren, Jaxton Alford, Graylyn Alford, Avery Kate Strickland, Effie Brooks, Graham Brooks, Davis Brooks and Cooper Brooks; and her siblings, Willie C "Bill" Hardee (Janet) and Patsy H Smith (Billy).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hardwick Funeral Home (4831 Main St, Loris, SC 29569). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Camp Swamp Church (853 Camp Swamp Rd, Loris, SC 29569).
