It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Eloise Elliott Cox (Loris, South Carolina), who passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Quincy Elliott, Sr. and Bytha Jane Sarvis Elliott; and her siblings, William Quincy Elliott, Jr., Allard Paul Elloitt, Laura Brown and Marie Elliott Sherer.
She is survived by: her son Randall Cox (Wendy); the father of her children Jimmy Cox; her grandchildren, Justin Cox, Kyle Cox (Bridget), McKenzie Cox Smith (Owen Drew) and Mayson Cox McQueen (Jaren); her great grandchildren, Owen Drew Smith, Jr., Ellis Brogdon Smith and Emmett James Smith; her sisters, Flora Jane Aiken and Hazel Irene Lerisey; and her sisters-in-law, Patsy Elliott and Iris Elloitt.
The family requests that memorials be made to Living Water Baptist Church, 1569 SC 9, Longs, SC 29568.
