She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Monroe Powell and Elma Louise Roberts Powell; her husband Maurice Fowler; her brother Devon Powell; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Baumler and Maxie Williamson.
She is survived by: her sons, Morris Fowler (Dean), Ray Fowler (Sherry) and Travis Fowler; her grandchildren, Brandi Barbee (Jonathan), Richia Hemmingway and Will Spivey (Beth); her great grandchildren, Chloe Johnson (Collin), Caroline Barbee, Jordyn Spivey, Cheyenne Bennett, Olivia Hemingway and Kingston Hemmingway; her great great grandchildren, Eriyann Allen, Jayse Allen, Brelynn Bellamy, Ailyn Sanders, Taelyn Gore and Emersyn Grate; her siblings, Rev. Thelton Powell (Cornelia), Sarah Baumler and Marguerite Williamson; and her sister-in-law Lillie Mae Powell. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to Bethesda Baptist Church (Mission Fund), 2004 S. Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703.
