She was predeceased by: her parents, George Samuel Johnson and Fodie Miller Johnson; her husband Ira Thomas Holmes; her son Mark Johnson Holmes; her siblings, Calvin Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Virginia Smith, Luttie Norris, Velma Strickland, Eunice Cox and Peggy Gore; and her close friend Lester Blanton.
She is survived by: her sons, Sammy Holmes (Regina) and David Holmes (Penny); her grandchildren, Christopher Holmes (Ashleigh), Courtney Suggs (Edward), Jeremy Holmes (Meredith) and Brittney Holmes; her great grandchildren, Case Holmes, Becca Holmes, Ansleigh Suggs, Eli Holmes, Treble Flowers, Haven Suggs and Brooks Suggs; her stepsister June Rodham; and her caregiver Lynda Skipper.
