She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Durant Paul and Curtis Nathan Paul; her husband Windell Edward Hughes; and her brothers, Nathan "Buddy" Paul and Nathan Curtis Paul, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Rita Hughes Boyd (Johnny) and Reverend Mark Hughes (Janice); her siblings, Michael Dale Paul (Jen) and Flaudie Mae Romero (Ceaser); her grandchildren, Bradley Suggs (Kari), Edward Suggs (Courtney), Colby Suggs (Courtney), Chad Hughes (Tennie) and Aaron Hughes; and her great grandchildren, Ansleigh Suggs, Haven Suggs, Brooks Suggs, Kennedy Suggs, Kinleigh Suggs, Easton Suggs, Kaydin Hughes, Miriah Hughes, Chayton Hughes and Norah Hughes.
The family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 4301 Red Bluff Road, Loris, SC 29569.
