He was predeceased by: his parents, James Preston Johnson and Irene Hilburn Johnson; and his siblings, Johnny Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, Billy Johnson, Elred Johnson and Hilda Nixon.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bobby Ray Johnson (Teresa) of Ash, NC and Ernestine Faye Branton (Henry) of Loris; his niece Jinnie Cannon (Donald) of Loris; his aunt Wanda; his uncle Ralph Seagle of Loris; and his cousin Michele Koonce. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jimmy Dale's Home (858 Hwy 9 Business W, Loris, SC 29569). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
