He was predeceased by: his wife Esther Waters Whitley; his parents, Luther Samuel and Leodus Tadlock Whitley; and his brother Donald Whitley. He is survived by: his daughter Myra; his son-in-law Mitch Hooper of Elgin; his daughter Suzanne; his son-in-law Brian Land of Dacula, GA.; his grandchildren, Will Hooper (Melanie), Russell Land and Robin Land; his great grandchild Mitchell Hooper; and his brother Jerry Whitley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
