She was predeceased by: her husband Elvin Eugene Brown, Sr.; her parents, John Joseph Key Jr. and Allie Bass Pierce; and her siblings, Ernest Key, Carolyn Key, Juanita Holly and Lillian Talbert.

She is survived by: her sons, Elvin E. Brown, Jr. (Wanda) of Cassatt and Joseph Shay Brown (Danielle) of Cassatt; and her siblings, Jenny Mock, Cheryl Atkins and Mitchell Pierce. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
