We are sad to announce that on November 21, 2023, at the age of 74, David Lee Bell of Lugoff, South Carolina, born in Williamsport, Indiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Lee Bell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Bell and Leone Harrison Bell; his son Eric Morlan; and his siblings, Brenda, Glenda and Richard.

He is survived by : his wife Sally Sharon Bell; and his children, Sarah Cole (Gary Wolfe), Mary Morlan, Marica "Missy" Crumpton (Logan), Lisa Townsley (John), Karen Costello (Terry), Harrell Morlan, John Morlan (Cheryl) and Laura Long (Patrick). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richland County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit, 5623 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29223.

“I worked with David the first 2 and 1/2 years of my 12 years at RCSD. We were on the same shift and became friends. I certainly enjoyed working with David.. He clearly loved his job, and his large family. He was always positive and truly cared for his fellow officers and the people he encountered.”
