She was predeceased by: her parents, David Deas and Maggie Grant Deas; her husband William York; her daughter Debra York; her brother David Deas, Jr.; and her son-in-law Eric Christopher, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Bernice Christopher, Valerie York (Shadid Bey) and Yvette York; her grandchildren, Eric Christopher, Zalaiah Bey, Tashauna York, Jashaya Fulmore and Tygie Cooper; her great grandchildren, Tristan Killett and Jaxson Carr; and her sister Barbara White. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, godchildren, cousins, family and friends.
