It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Mae Loyd of Lugoff, South Carolina, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Johnson and Mamie Johnson; her husband Jeff Loyd, Jr.; her son Melvin James Loyd; and her siblings, Eugene Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Albert Johnson Jr., Rev. Willie Johnson, Rev. George Johnson, Rev. Samuel Johnson, Aileen Davis, Alma Alexander and Katie Murphy.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark (Nikki) and Jeff III of Chicago, IL.; her grandchildren, Janean, Mahseyo, Ahmad, Maisa, Skye and Serenah; her great grandchildren, Isaiah and Elijah; and her sisters, Blanche McClendon and Rev. Mamie (Carnell). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in law, cousins, many friends.
