He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilmore Harris and Elizabeth Portee Harris; his wife Elisabeth Z. Harris; and his siblings, Leroy P. Harris, George Harris, Herman Harris, Richard Harris, Truman Harris, Sandra Easterling, Myrtle Anderson and Johnnie Mae Wint.
He is survived by: his children, Johann G. Harris, Sr. (Sandi), Franizka Harris, Leroy H. Harris (Katy) and Floyd G. Harris; and his sisters, Eddie Mae Phipps (Albert) and Anne Tate. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
