He is survived by: his wife Diana Gale Tipton Deese; his children, Edgar Harold Deese, III (Lori) of Lugoff, Andrew Dendy Deese (Mary Kate) of Irmo, James P. Epps, Jr. (Dana) of Elgin and Cristy Epps Caldwell (Shawn) of Camden; and his sister Mandy Deese Haverty (Joe) of Mt. Holly, N. C.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
