We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2025, James Anthony Dickerson of Lugoff, South Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, James Anthony shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James Anthony farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James John Dickerson and Lucille McCoy Dickerson; his children, James Anthony Dickerson, Jr. and Serene Dickerson; his siblings, Linda Johnson, Wanda Annette Hill and Lonnie Patterson; and his son Jamel Samedi. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at the Cedar Cemetery (713 Meeting St, Camden, SC 29020).
