He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred L. Ortmann and Ottille Eck Ortmann; his stepson Thomas Wayne Shoemake; and his sister Rita Mabe. He is survived by: his children, Shelia Ortmann of Toledo, OH, Dawn Breidgan of Finley, OH and John P. Ortmann, Jr. (Kelly) of Owtawa, MI; and his stepdaughters, Cynthia Branham and Tina Clifford. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Elgin Congregational Holiness Church (1331 Smyrna Rd, Elgin, SC 29045). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
