Larry M. Stokes Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Edwin McDonald Stokes and Peggy Carroll Stokes. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Davis Stokes; his children, Jo Miller of Camden and Chip Howle (Kevin Bramlette) of Columbia; his stepmother Fran Stokes; his brothers, Donnie Stokes (Deborah) and Scotty McNeill (Sonya); and his extended family, James Forrest, Roger Forrest and Karen Vincent. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 2 nephews and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Quaker Cemetery (713 Meeting St, Camden, SC 29020).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children Hospital of Greenville, S.C.
