He was predeceased by: his parents, Beckham Hilton and Sue Lee Hendrix Hilton. He is survived by: his wife Martha Long Hilton; his stepsons, Ricky J. Kinard (Debbie) and Barry E. Kinard; his grandchildren, David Kinard (Elizabeth), Cody Kinard (Mary Katherine) and Shyann Kinard; his great grandchildren, Jacob Kinard and Oliver Kinard; and his caregiver Mary Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
