He was predeceased by : his parents, John Daniel Shaw Sr. and Lucille McLain Shaw; and his brother John Daniel Shaw, Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Faye Charlene Bradshaw Shaw; his children, Michael Kevin Shaw (Pamela) and Angela Dianne Shaw; his siblings, Richard Everett Shaw (Paula) and Meredith Morris (Johnny); his sister-in-law Fredda Shaw; and his grandchildren, Peyton Shaw and Peirce Shaw.

Memorial may be made to Shriner's Children Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
