He was predeceased by: his parents, William Yarborough and Ada Scott Yarborough; and his brother Robert Yarborough. He is survived by: his wife Terri Anderson Yarborough; his children, Thomas Gainey (Stephanie) of Cassatt and Heather Williams (Billy) of Camden; and his siblings, Herman Scott of Newport News, Virginia, Tony Newman, Kevin Windburn and Tina Gardner. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Austism Foundation.
