He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Jefferson Young and Eva Pack Thompson; his son Owen Jefferson Young, Jr.; and his sister Margaret Austin. He is survived by: his wife Idella C. Mitchell Young; his daughters, Anita Christine Young of Lugoff and Paula Young Potter (John) of Elgin; his grandchildren, Jared Sinclair, Spencer Sinclair, Hannah Potter and Owen Potter; and his half-sisters, Marie O'Donnell and Darlene Mitchell of West Virginia.
