He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Tipton and Rosie Lee Darnell Tipton; his brother Jay Gibson; his daughter-in-law Teri Tipton; and his granddaughter Kendal Snider.
He is survived by: his children, Tracie Snider (Boone) of Sumter, Carie Girouard (Ray) of Lugoff, Chris Tipton (Shannon) of Hodges, Rick Tipton, Jr. of Calhoun Falls and Tammy Watson of Blythewood; his sisters, Nancy Cooper (Phil), Mary Nell Degenhart (Paul) and Lea Gibson; and his grandchildren, Cody Snider (Kristin), Madison, Mason Girouard, Cory Harrington and Hunter Watson (Kristina).
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel (1025 Main St S, Greenwood, SC 29646). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
