He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Mae Meeks Garner and Larkin William Garner; his children, Linda Garner Ray and David Garner; his great grandchild Will Shealy; and his siblings, Faye Taylor, Oliver Garner, Melvin Garner, Lindsay Garner and Alfred Garner.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Garner of Lugoff, William Thomas Garner, Jr. (Deborah) of Ridgeway, Matt Garner (Pansie) of Lugoff and Tony Garner of Camden; his grandchildren, Courtney, Molly, Jennifer, Nicole, Jeffrey, Chris, Troy, David and Stephanie; and his siblings, Trancey Twitty (Mike) of Camden, Valerie Lominac (Kenny) of Camden, Jack Garner (Elaine) of Lugoff and Jimmy Garner of Camden. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel (1139 US-1, Lugoff, SC 29078).
