He is survived by: his son James Groce Jr. (Jim); his daughter-in-law Jillian Groce (Jill); his grandchildren, Katie Cogburn and Courtney Cogburn; his daughter Leslie Groce Crews; his son-in-law Ken Crews; his grandchild Gunner Crews; his grandfather Kenslie Crews; his sister Judy Wines; his nephew Jacob Gillespie (Casey); his great-nephew Blaine; his nephew Kevin Long (Shirley); and his son Blues.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 1100 Gap Creek Rd, Lyman, SC 29365.
