He is survived by: his wife Judy Marie Morrow Gilbert; his son John M. Gilbert of Spartanburg; his grandson Dylan Gilbert (Mandi Gilbert); his great grandchildren, Luke Rose, Tanner Gilbert and Zuri Gilbert; and his brother Claude E. Gilbert of Greer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
