He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Fleming McLeod and Carolyn "Susie" Stewart McLeod; his brother-in-law Steve Boersema; and his father-in-law Walton Newman. He is survived by: his wife Mary Julia Tisdale McLeod; his stepchildren, Brooke Gales of Manning and Buddy Gales (Melany ChaCha) of Summerville; his granddaughter Mailee Kate Gales; his sister Renee Boersema of Manning; his mother-in-law Helen Newman of Manning; his sister-in-law Kathleen Ott (Kyle Jernigan) of Manning; his niece Ashley Barfield (Zachary Jones) of Olanta; and his nephews, Joshua Touchberry of Manning, Cody Ussery of Manning and McLeod Barfield (Trinidy) of Sumter.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Manning First Baptist Church (49 W Boyce St, Manning, SC 29102). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
