She is survived by: her daughter Susan Strickland Haas of East Hartford, CT; her grandchildren, Melody Thomas (Mathew), Paul Whitley (Jennifer), Baryn Haas (Heather), Gareth Haas and Cameron Lewis; and her brother Bill Thomas of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
