He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Emmett Gallishaw Ard and Virginia Gamble Ard; and his brother Donald Ard. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Beatrice Brassell Ard; his children, Charles Lancer Ard (Kendra) of St. Stephen, Sonya Lill Ard-Kelly (Michael) of Savannah, GA and Stephenie Ard-Brady of Greeleyville; his grandchildren, Alex Ard-Kelly, Nicholas Ard-Brady (Maddison), Lillian Ard-Brady, Fiona Ard-Kelly, Charles Lancer Ard II and Maggie Lee Ard; and his sisters, Bertha Ard Smith (Ben) of Summerville and Patricia Ard Cummings of Florence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory (304 N Church St, Manning, SC 29102). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greeleyville Free Will Baptist Church (304 Easler Hwy, Greeleyville, SC 29056).
