He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bernard Toner and Inez Copeland Toner; his siblings, James Toner and Marie Toner Brown; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Toner.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Janice "Jane" Brunson Toner; his children, Clifford Roark Toner (Regina) of Isle, Valerie Toner Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, Deanna Tidwell Carter (Chris) of Dunwoody, GA and Margaret "Travis" Bradshaw (Dennis) of Summerville; his grandchildren, Matthew, Jefferson, Brooke, Lauren, Jack and Carter; his brothers, Michael Toner and Bernard Toner (Sandra); and his sister-in-law Pat Toner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
