He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Lee Garnett and Beulah Thigpen Garnett; his granddaughter Whitney Barrett; and his great grandchild Elijah Gillespie. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Graham Garnett; his children, Stacy Garnett (Cheryl) of Paxville, Phillip Rivers (Crystal) of Sumter, Nathan Rivers of Sumter and Timothy Rivers of Sumter; and his siblings, Raymond Garnett (Eleanor) of Hartsville, Dargan Garnett of Norfolk, VA, Mildred Brown of Paxville and Evelyn Karoffa of Georgia. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Paxville Baptist Church (10278 Lewis Rd, Manning, SC 29102). A reception will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
