He was predeceased by: his parent Bishop James E. McCoy. He is survived by: his son James McCoy III of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Nissa McCoy-Law of Sumter, SC, Veronica "Peaches" Jackson of Naples, FL and Noeshea Samuel of Florence, SC; his grandchildren, Kyomi McCoy and Kadon McCoy; and also Fannie McCoy. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
