He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Lacey Ivey and Fannie Elizabeth Edwards Ivey. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hodge Ivey; his children, James Ray Ivey, Jr. (Melissa) of Sumter and Elizabeth Ivey Stowe (Brian) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Peyton Thames, Tiera Smith, Dylan Smith, Reygane Lee, Nathaniel Moser, James R. Ivey III, Christian Plemons, Joshua Stowe and CheyAnne Stowe; and his brothers, Charles Ivey of Lexington and Roland Ivey (Margaret) of Sumter. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
