We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2025, at the age of 87, James Richard Brunson Jr. (Manning, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Brunson, Sr. and Dena Geddings Brunson Ardis; his son James Richard Brunson III; his stepfather William C. "Sam" Ardis; and his brothers, Charles G. "Jerry" Brunson and William C. "Will" Ardis, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Nina Smith Driggers; his daughter Karen Brunson Montague (Larry) of Sumter; his stepsons, Todd Driggers (Amy) of Darlington, Tad Driggers (Michelle) of Florence and Jeremy Driggers (Danielle) of Darlington; the mother of his children Juanita Addison Brunson of Sumter; and his sisters, Kathy Ardis Mayer (Gene) of Due West and Beatrice "Bea" Ardis Broadway of Sumter. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
