It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melville Bryant McPherson (Manning, South Carolina), who passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Olin McPherson and Eloise Bryant McPherson; his former wife Mattie Ann McPherson; his sons, Michael Bryan McPherson and Mitchell Bruce McPherson; his grandson Charles Allen Miller, Jr.; and his siblings, Joseph McPherson, Virginia Boatwright, Sylvia Harrelson and Tovey Stanton.
He is survived by: his children, Frankie Lynn Miller (Allen) of Johns Island, Teresa Gayle Bennett (Joe) of Townville, Deborah Elizabeth Sillivant of James Island, Joyce Fay McPherson of Troy, MO, S. Diann McPherson of North Charleston, Ronald Monroe McPherson of Manning and Charles Thomas McPherson (Angela) of Orlando, FL; his daughter-in-law Carla Bland McPherson of Manning; his caregiver Rochelle Johnson-Dow of Manning; and his grandchildren, Ronald Paul McPherson, Shannon McPherson, Misty Gayle Adams (Billy), Dana Wulfert, John Luther Thompson V (Mary), Jessica Ann Wardien (Rob), Chelsea Elizabeth Smith (Adam), Caitlin Ann Bryant (Stephen), Samuel Shane Briggs (Ellie), Travis Bryant McPherson (Katie), Joshua James McPherson, Dillon Bryant Sillivant (Makenna) and Jordan Taylor Sillivant (Allie). He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cross Roads Bible Fellowship Church (5546 Paxville Hwy, Manning, SC 29102). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
