With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Owens DeShazo (Manning, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy DeShazo and Lucy Owens DeShazo. He is survived by: his wife Marita Allen DeShazo; his sons, William A. DeShazo (Julie) of Stafford, VA and Stephen R. DeShazo of Summerton; his granddaughter Alexis Permelia DeShazo; his stepgranddaughters, Susan Loane (Travis) and Samantha Parrotte (David); his brother Raleigh Chinn DeShazo (Sylvia) of Richmond, VA; and his pet Ethan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
