He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Homer Smith Forney and Geraldine Shaud Forney; his son Todd Michael Forney; his brother Dale Forney; and his pet Scooter.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Houser Forney; and his daughters, Vickie Hatfield (Jack), Wendy Grose (Mike) and Suzanne Stevens (Shawn). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
