It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Ann Haley (Manning, South Carolina), who passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl J. Osborne and Victoria Welch Osborne; her son Robert Cooper Melton III; and her siblings, Eloise Courtney, Doris Chapman, Colene Johnson and Carl J. Osborne, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Libby Melton Way of Manning, Kathy Melton Jackson (Bobby) of Lexington and Jennifer Melton Whitesides (Jeffrey) of Lexington; her daughter-in-law Nancy Hodge Melton of Sardinia; her grandchildren, Rocky Melton (Ashley), Jessica Melton, Michael Way, John Robert Jackson (Allison), Keri Jackson Harmon (Patrick), Brittany Jackson Buck (T. J.), Kathleen Whitesides Strawderman (Jake) and Macy Whitesides; her siblings-in-law, Joyce Osborne of Marietta, GA and Billy Melton of Sardinia; and her grandsons, Ryan Way, Chandler Whitesides, Patrick Harmon, Jake Strawderman and T. J. Buck. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren.
