He was predeceased by: his parents, Donnie Manning Owens and Elvie Lane Owens Prevatte. He is survived by: his siblings, Gene A. Owens (Margaret) of Texas, James "Dan" Owens of Indiana and Mabel "Irene" Brown of Latta, SC; his nieces, Donna Lynn Locklear (Carl), Tammy Owens Schrieber (Mike), Sheila Owens Cashwell and Dawn Marie Owens-Kiel (Dean); his nephew Gene E. Owens; and his friend Donnie Cooper (Amy).
