He is survived by: his wife Patricia Genwright; his children, LaRhonda Genwright, Michele Washington (John) of Marion, SC., Leroy Genwright, Jr. (Tia) of Baltimore and Mitchell Dickerson (Tina) of Summerville, SC.; his siblings, Bobbie Thompson of Mullins, SC., Cynthia Gail Jones of Mullins, SC., Wanda Burgess (Lenno) of Mullins, SC., Linda Stackhouse (Edward) of Mullins, SC., Sandra Genwright of Mullins, SC. and Kenny Smith of Dillon, SC; his siblings-in-law, Mary Thompson of Atlantic City, NJ of Marion, SC, Brenda Green of Marion, SC, Nancy James (Larry) of Marion, SC, Henry Johnson of Marion, SC, Margret Bartell of Florence, SC and Henrietta Davis of Charlotte, NC; his aunt Willa Dean Genwright of Mullins, SC.; and his close friends, Michell James and Henry Reaves. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel (612 S Main St, Marion, SC 29571). A burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Florence National Cemetery (850 Stockade Dr, Florence, SC 29506).
