She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sanford Vassar, Sr. (Annie Grace Temple Vassar) and William Sanford Vassar, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband R. C. Jones, Jr.; her daughters, Cheryl Taylor (Lesley), Tammy Barber (Jerry) and Lisa Cooke (Dean); and her grandchildren, Jamie Taylor (Melissa), Jared Taylor (Jessica), Ashley Yellachich (Christopher), Hunter Cooke (Kristin) and Hudson Cooke. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, as well as extended grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
