She was predeceased by : her parents, Cornell McCanty, Sr. and Wynetta Foggie McCanty; her husband John Earl McGee; and her siblings-in-law, William McGee, Mattie Carter, Margie Mickens, Loretta Summers and Lily Alice Ward.

She is survived by : her daughters, Almetra McGee (Chris) of Mauldin, SC and Veronica Hunter (Terry) of Simpsonville, SC; her grandchildren, Brandon Davenport of Greenville, SC and Marqeus Davenport of Simpsonville, SC; her great grandchildren, Taniyah Reid of Greenville, SC and Naomi Davenport of Greenville, SC; her siblings, Cornell McCanty, Jr. (Diana) of Simpsonville, SC, Vanessa McCanty of Fountain Inn, SC and Jeanette McCanty of Simpsonville, SC; her niece Keisha McCanty of Houston, TX; her nephews, Terrance McCanty (Akira) of Columbia, SC, Gerard McCanty of Fountain Inn, SC, Rashad Cogman of Columbia, SC and Chris Summers of Mebane, NC; and her brothers-in-law, Rossie McGee (Carol) of Cross Hill, SC and Elliot McGee of Laurens, SC. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
