He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Hammond (Thomas) of Greenville, SC, Shunika Gambrell (Bobby Ellis) of Greenville, SC and Sir Cardo L. Gambrell of New York. He is also survived by four grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
